Funeral services for Mrs. Janiece Calvert will be held Friday at 1pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Rev. Derrick Wilson will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Little Rock, MS.
Mrs. Calvert, 75, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday at her residence. She was a long-time hairdresser, owning her own business. Mrs. Calvert will always be remembered as a dedicated Christian lady who loved her Lord. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Calvert loved her family and enjoyed going out to eat.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Calvert; daughter Tammy Graham and husband Travis; grandsons Tyler Graham and wife Kylie, Trevor Graham and wife Skylare; great grandsons Carter Graham and Landyn Pierce; sister Carolyn Goss; brother Jerry Burke and wife Tami; her beloved puppy Rico; numerous nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
Mrs. Calvert was preceded in death by her parents Otis and Luna Burke and brother in law Doug Goss.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Graham, Tyler Graham, Travis Graham, Isaiah Edwards, Robert Smith and Mike Smith.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
