Age 66, loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 6, 1942 the daughter of Jerome and Helen (Bengel) Barker. Mrs. Cook was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. She was a member of the Altar Society and was very active in many church activities. Janet was known for always putting others first, constantly giving of herself to her family, friends and her community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael and her mother, Helen. Surviving are her children Tim (Penny) Cook, Randy Cook, Cheryl (Jennie Wilson) Cook, Tom (Dianne) Cook, Sue (Doug) White, Linda (Andy) Beach and Chris (Heidi) Cook; grandchildren Anthony and Betsy Cook, Cameron, Miriam and Michael Cook, Gus White and Everett Beach; father, Jerome Barker; sisters Judy (Dave) Roach and Cindy (Mark) Wohlfert; brothers Jim Barker, Bill (Doris) Barker and Tom (Rita) Barker; several nieces and nephews.
