Mrs. Janet E. Zumsteg, 90, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Wilshire at Lakewood, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Mrs. Zumsteg was born in Bluffton, Missouri on September 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Jack and Willa (Blackmore) Young.
She was the widow of Carrol D. Zumsteg. They were married August 25, 1937 at Montgomery City, Missouri, he preceded her in death.
Janet is survived by her two children, son Bruce Zumsteg & wife Dorene of Harrisonville, Missouri and daughter Ann Ellis & husband Vincent of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a son Jack Zumsteg and by two sisters Clara Ertman and Erna Smith.
She was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, Hermann, Missouri. She was a housewife and also worked for Hermann Hospital as a nurses aid for 20 years.
