James Edward Toivonen, age 60, of Tower and formerly of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012, at home. He was born July 16, 1952, in Virginia the son of William and Dolores (King) Toivonen. He graduated from High School in Cottage Grove, MN.
Jim was employed at the Tower water treatment plant, and had formerly worked for Delta Air Lines. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Jim was a huge Vikings fan and an avid outdoorsman. He deeply cherished his Native American heritage.
Jim is survived by his parents: William and Dolores Toivonen of Aurora; his son: Paul (Stephanie) Toivonen of Roy, UT; his daughter: Nikole (T.J.) Underwood of Bountiful, UT; his brother: George (Shari) Toivonen of Babbitt; his sister: Lauri (Robert) Sieben of Eau Claire, WI; and six grandchildren: Braden, Dominique, Alexia, Tehya, Alex, and Grace.
