James Elmer Standridge passed away at his home on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
James was born in Plummerville, Ark to the late Lester and Ruth Standridge on October 24, 1946.
He served in the United States Army. He met and married Patricia Carney in 1973 and they blended their families as one. James worked for Chevron Refinery in Richmond, CA and transferred to Pascagoula in 1979. He retired in 1997 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed and collected gun and knives and mechanic work. He was a quiet man and stayed busy doing the things he enjoyed, none of which compared to the joy he experienced through his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Tara Cossey and Corey Elzey; siblings, Dee Standridge and Shirley Wolenburger.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Standridge of Gautier; a sister, Evelyn Standridge of Missouri; children, Laura McCarley and Jamie Standridge both of Fort Smith , AK, Carol Wilson (Tommy) of Theodore, Al, and Sherise Randall of Gautier; 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
