Scarborough – James D. Locke, Sr, , of Old Orchard Beach passed away on August 25, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born on September 1, 1928 in Fort Fairfield, the son of J. Kenneth and Gertrurde (Pratt) Locke. He grew up and attended schools in Fort Fairfield. James worked for many years as a chef in the restaurant business.
James was predeceased by his parents, his wife Lillian and his sister Margaret Bean. He is survived by his son James D. Locke, Jr., daughters Doreen Rodgers and Darlene Locke and a brother Robert Locke. He is also survived by his grandchildren, James Pickett, Shane Rodgers, Dylan Rodgers and Keelia Clarkson and his great-grandchildren Austin Pickett, Jordan Pickett and Lola Rodgers.
