James “Jim” Desmond Garth of Steelville, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Gibbs Care Center at the age of 83 years. He was born May 22, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jim worked many years as a carpenter. He was a past member of the Eagles Club and a member of the Steelville Country Club. He enjoyed fishing with his buddy, Bill Anderson and others.
He is survived by his significiant other Virginia Bailey of Steelville, MO; one daughter Donna Harrell and husband Allen of Boulder City, NV; three step-children Christine Blue and husband Wayne of Cuba, MO, Charles Bailey and wife Tammy of St. Clair, MO and Sara Lea of St. James, MO; special nephew Ron Condray and wife Melinda of St. Louis, MO; special friend Bill Anderson and wife Cathy of Steelville, MO; two sisters Thyrus Staples and husband Dale of St. Louis, MO and Carol Hollinger and husband Ted of Rogers, AR; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other friends and relatives.
