James Anthony Smith; age 80; was called to be with the Lord on March 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Regina (Thelen) Smith, brothers Richard and Donald Smith and sister Genet Shattuck. Also preceding him in death was his mother-in-law and brother-in-laws. On February 8, 1964 he married Linda Logel of Williamston and together they raised four children. Julie (Scott) Hughes, Pamela (Phil) Hill, Steve (Sara) Smith and James (aka Charlie) Smith. They were subsequently blessed with 4 grandchildren, Emily Hill, Samantha Smith, Edward Hill and Shane Smith. Jim leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren and his dear brother Jerome (Jewel) Smith, his loving sisters, Pat Goodman, Rita Klein, Evelyn Smith, Marilyn Smith and Liz Gray; brother-in-law Doug (Noreen) Logel and several nieces and nephews. Jim retired after 42 years as a Tool and Die Maker from Portland Products, Inc.
