Obituary for Jacqueline Voss Jones

Jacqueline Voss Jones, 74, passed away at the Christian Health Care Center in Republic, Missouri on February 18, 2006.

She was born on October 30, 1931 in Yancy Mills, Missouri and was a life long resident of Rolla. Jackie was a 1949 graduate of Rolla High School where she enjoyed serving as editor of the Rolla High Echo. After attending college at Southeast Missouri State University, she returned to Rolla where she taught at the Yancy Mills School. She re-united with her high school sweetheart Billy E. Jones and was wed on Dec. 10, 1960. Together they had a daughter Mary Jane and a son William V. Jones. Jackie served as Phelps County Voter Registration Clerk under William T. Huskey. She retired from the Phelps County Clerks Office in 1988 after more than 20 years of service. After retirement Jackie enjoyed being a member of the Senior Companion Program volunteering her time at the Presbyterian Manor. She was a delight to be around and brought joy to all those around her.

Surviving are, daughter Mary Jane Dover and husband Kenneth Dover of Rolla, son William Voss Jones, wife Dena Hansen-Jones her sister, Joyce Voss Bonham and husband Richard Bonham of Springfield, Missouri and grand-daughter, Hallie Jones of Springfield, Missouri.
