Bath-Jacqueline Rancourt Bilodeau, 86, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Webster Commons Nursing Home in Freeport, with her son and daughter-in-law at her bedside. Jackie, as she was known, was born in Lewiston on December 9, 1923 to Joseph Emile and Amelia (Larochelle) Rancourt. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1942, and married her sweetheart, Bert (Leo Bertrand) Bilodeau, on June 26, 1943. Jackie worked for the State of Maine Department of Health and Welfare and the Employment Security Commission. After her retirement from the employment office, she worked for the State fuel program. Jackie was an active member and former President of the Maine State Retiree Association, and was a Lifetime member and former President of the local chapter of NARFE, the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. Jackie and Bert made their home in Lewiston for many years, until moving to Bath in 1969. They raised a son and daughter, Bert (Leo Bertrand, Jr.) and Paula, and enjoyed spoiling their five grandchildren. Jackie loved to cook and bake, and was famous among her friends for her marvelous and creative cheesecakes. Jackie is survived by her children, Bert and Linda Bilodeau of Hubert, NC and Paula and Ken Munn of Eastham, MA. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Janet Bilodeau Vangeli and husband Paul of Lewiston; Joyce Bilodeau of Lewiston; Michael and Christine Munn of Weymouth, MA; James and Jessica Munn of Fitchburg, MA; and Philip and Deanne Munn of South Easton, MA. Jackie also leaves five great-grandchildren. Jackie was predeceased by her husband in 1997, and her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Irene Rancourt.
