Jacqueline “Jackie” Paradis, 79 died peacefully at a Frenchville health care facility surrounded by her family on Feb. 4, 2020. She was born in Edmundston, N.B., daughter of Leon and Aggie Hebert on June 8, 1940.
Jackie was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 145 of Frenchville for over 50 years where she held many different leadership positions and was very active leading many of their community activities. She was also a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne. In her spare time, Jackie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting, as well as being a skilled seamstress and caterer.
Jackie is survived by her husband Antoine Paradis and one son Mark Paradis, his wife Basant, of Old Town and 2 grandchildren,Andre and Olivia. She is also survived by one brother Doris Hebert, his wife Anne, of Edmundston N.B., two sisters Lorette Castonguay, her husband Donald, of Frenchville, and Gilda Toussaint, her husband Norman, of St. Joseph, N.B. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters: Rena Francoeur, Carmen Rossignol and Jeannine Ouellette;and two brothers: Edgar Ouellette and Guy Hebert.
The family wishes to extend heart felt gratitude to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Memory Care in Frenchville for the loving and compassionate care they extended to Jackie during her stay with you, and mostly during her last days with us. Thank you for your genuine care and kindness.
