Jacob Daniel Seaman, 21, died July 19, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained from a fall. He was born November 13, 1994, in New York, New York, the son of Talmadge Seaman and Heather (Brandon) Carroll. He attended Kenilworth Elementary School and Benjamin Tasker Middle School in Bowie, MD, Sunshine Bible Academy in Miller, SD, and graduated from Bowie High School in 2012. Jake continued his education at Anne Arundel Community College and transferred to Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering in May 2016. Jake was planning to pursue his Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering this fall.
Jakey was 100 feet tall, incredibly brilliant, and full of empathy and compassion for his friends and family. Jake was handsome and strong, had infinite charisma and charm, had an adventurous spirit and never sat still. He consumed life like he devoured a meal. Baby Jake was the perfect little brother to everyone in his life.
Jake is survived by his father and bonus-mother, Talmadge and Beth Seaman of Washington, DC, and his mother and step-father Heather and Jeffrey Carroll of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Jessica and Jason Madden of Anchorage, AK; his sister Callie Seaman of Martinsburg, WV; brothers Christopher Johns and Timothy Seaman of Baltimore, MD; maternal grandmother, Doris Brandon of Waterford, CT; and paternal grandmother, Carole Seaman of Rapid City, SD. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, step-grand parents, step-siblings, neighbors and friends across the country who will miss him dearly.
