Jack Edmond Turnbough, 69, of Davisville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Tunica, Mississippi while doing what he loved surrounded by his wife and close friends. He was born June 3, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Oren James Turnbough and Cecilia Rosebud Taylor Turnbough. On August 1, 1969 in Bridgeton, MO, he was united in marriage to Margie Faught Wedding and to this union two children were born.
Jack was employed at General Motors for thirty years and retired in 1994. He also was a volunteer Berkeley reserve police officer for ten years.
Jack was a caring man who had a kindness in his heart for everyone that he met. He enjoyed traveling the United States with his wife and spent much of his time exploring places that were close to his Native American roots. Jack was a man that made the room small, he always thrilled those around him with a vibrant story; of which he seemed to have many. Jack lived a life that was full of love and adventure, something that is not to be forgotten. He shared a kind of love for life that saw every day as a blessing and an opportunity.
He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Margie Turnbough of Davisville, MO; one son, Kenneth Turnbough and wife Tasha of St. Charles, MO; one daughter, Jacki Mata of Blue Springs, MO; one brother, Larry Joe Turnbough and wife Susan of Lake St. Louis, MO; one sister, Barbara Meyer and husband Don of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Cecilia Gabrielle and Alexandra Danielle Mata and Solana Marie and Stone Edmond Turnbough; many dear nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
