Isabella H. Davis, 98, passed away in the early morning hours of March 30th at the Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. Born on November 13th 1913, in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of Edward and Isabella (Martin) Wilson. Isabella grew up in Dorchester and Somerville, MA, graduating from Somerville High School. On April 26th 1937 she married Kenneth C. Davis and the couple made their home in Dorchester shortly after. For several years she worked in admissions at a maternity hospital, and also as a secretary for a church in Dorchester. She and Ken regularly summered in Maine at the Davis family home in Bremen before making it their permanent residence in 1982. She was a life-long Boston Red Sox fan, and celebrated her Scottish heritage with pride; whether it be joining Scottish groups or listening to Scottish music. More than anything, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 3 sons-in-law, Robert Mortimer, John Manning and David Tisdale. She is survived by her three daughters, Doris Mortimer, Jean Manning, and Elizabeth Engstrom and her husband Dennis; 7 grandchildren, Robert Mortimer and his wife Marcia, David Mortimer, Nancy Destinoble and her husband John, Jeffrey Manning, Beth West and her husband Ray, Debbie Brandt and her husband Larry and Julie Papasavas and her husband John; 9 great-grandchildren, Jason Mortimer and his wife Katie, Ian Mortimer, Aaron Destinoble, Bradley Destinoble, Lauren Manning, Grant Manning Natalie West, Kayleigh Brandt and Reed Brandt; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Andrew Mortimer and Brady Mortimer; as well as a very special cousin, George Martin.
