Dresden – Irving Brookings Wright Jr., 84, of Dresden, passed away on Monday, January 7th, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born in Bath, Maine, on August 2, 1928, the son of Irving B Wright and Lura Pearl Davis. He attended Bath schools, and worked at the Wing Farm up until the time he joined the United States Marine Corp., where he served in Korea, receiving 2 Purple Hearts and the Silver Star.
Irving was employed at Bath iron Works for 14 years, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 7 years, he worked at the Bath Junior High School, the Customs House and retired from the State of Maine; Bath Children’s Home in 1992.
