Ione Steer, 85, of Euclid, MN passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN.
Ione Delores Anderson was born on July 11, 1925 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Carl and Ceciel (Yuergens) Anderson. She was raised in rural Warren where she attended country school. Ione also attended Warren High School. On June 20, 1945, she married Charles Steer. They made their home in Brandt Township where they farmed. Charles died on April 17, 2002. She moved to Warren in September of 2009.
She was a member of the Euclid Presbyterian Church until it closed in 1997 at which time she became a member of Angus-Tabor Presbyterian Church. Ione was an active member in both churches. She was also a member of Euclid American Legion Auxiliary and Homemaker’s Club.
Ione was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent her life caring for others. She enjoyed baking, especially her chocolate chip cookies.
