Ione Frances Marincel, age 102, of Hibbing and formerly a longtime resident of Parkville died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Fairview Hospital in Hibbing. She was born June 10, 1914, in Great Bend, North Dakota, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Kohlhoff) Schulz. Ione was united in marriage to Michael A. Marincel on May 4, 1946, in Mt. Iron, MN.
Ione worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart and later Immaculate Conception Catholic Churches. She was a member of the Virginia Reelers, and the Virginia Senior Citizens center. She enjoyed quilting, handcrafts, and traveling.
Ione is survived by her children: Michael Marincel of Hibbing, and Michele (Dennis) Thomson of Motley, MN; her brothers: Gordon Schulz and Roy (Pat) Schulz; grandchildren: Rhonda, Raquel, Dana and Brigitte; great-grandchildren: Nicole, Nolan, John, Colton, Elliott, Ian, Theo, and Marin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Michael; brothers: Wilbur and Lester; sister: Lee Ann; and daughter-in-law: Sandra.
