Howard A. Krause, 71, of Marthasville, MO, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday evening, November 25, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer and Parkinson’s disease.

Howard was born on August 9, 1946 in Hermann, MO, the son of Anton and Flora (Edler) Krause. 

Howard married Bonnie Rutledge in Montgomery City, Missouri on August 17, 1964. They celebrated 53 years together and to this union two children were born. 

Howard was confirmed at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Holstein, MO. on April 2, 1961 with memory verse Jeremiah 31 v. 3. He graduated from Warrenton High School in May of 1964 and started working at The Binkley Company in August of 1964. He retired after 47 years of driving a fork lift for many of those years. He was a member of Machinist Union 1745. 

Howard lived most of his life on the Krause family farm. He loved fishing and hunting and especially loved going on hunting trips out west to Colorado and Wyoming for the bigger game of Mule Deer, Antelope and Elk.  The biggest joy of his life was his girls; daughter Denise, granddaughters; Ashley (Earnheart) Oberhaus and Dori A. Levin, great granddaughter, Natalie M. Oberhaus and great grandson, Adam Howard Levin.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Krause of the home, by a daughter Denise K. (Krause) Albritton, of Marthasville, two sisters Barbara (Krause) Schmidt, husband Kenneth of Big Springs, MO. and Debra L. Krause of McKittrick, MO., sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Preceding Howard in death are his parents and one son Dwayne A. Krause.
