Hope Cook age 72 passed away peacefully at her home on Lake Washington on January 3rd 2022.  Hope was an amazing woman to everyone that was fortunate to have been part of her life.  Hope was an Art Professor at MSU for 35 years specializing in print making, paper making and abstract art.  She dedicated herself to the Carnegie Art Center which she became part of in 1982, where she spent countless hours preparing for shows for up and coming artists and helped create a beacon for so many artists.  She always felt art was a way to express yourself and knew it was a way to touch others.  Hope wanted to thank her colleagues, students, friends and family for making her life a work of art.

Hope is survived by her loving husband Joel Saiki whom she married in 2010, son Ian(Jennifer), son-in-law Andrew Hoffman, step-sons Zac (Ali) Saiki, Ty Saiki, step-daughter Meredith Saiki, grandson Greysen Carlstrom, granddaughters Isa Hoffman, Samantha Saiki, Reagan Saiki, Maren Saiki and Neenah Saiki.  She is proceeded in death by her parents Donald/ Marian Cook, sister Christine, and daughter Elspeth “b” Carlstrom.  Hope will forever be known as strong, determined and loving.
