Hobert I. “Bob” Stenglein, age 98 of Hibbing died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. He was born March 30, 1917 in Ishpeming, Michigan the son of Henry and Anne (Bengsten) Stenglein and was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps as a gunnery instructor. Bob was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Edwards on January 24, 1940, in Duluth, MN. He was a co-owner and sales manager of Modern Motors until his retirement in 1986. Bob was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mesaba Lodge # 255 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, the Scottish Rite bodies of Hibbing and Duluth; the AAD temple of Duluth; the Range Shrine Club; Mesaba Rangers; and the American Legion.

Bob is survived by children: Roberta (Mickey) Sonaglia of Grand Rapids, MN, Richard Stenglein of Hibbing, and Sally (Tom) Gaige of Hibbing; grandchildren: Michael (Anita) Sonaglia, Mark (Mary) Sonaglia, Stacie (Marco) Satchell, and Jonathan (Samantha) Gaige; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Dante, Sam, Gabriella, and Braedan; nieces, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Gwendolyn on February 25th, 2015 and brother: Homer.
