Hester E. Stafford of Denton, MD died Monday, May 15, 2017, at the UMSMC in Easton, MD. She was 87 years old.
Born in Ridgely, MD on April 26, 1930, Mrs. Stafford was the daughter of the late Redmond Otto Long and Margaret Olelia Robinson Long. Her husband, Paul Reese Stafford, Sr., died July 4, 1991.
Mrs. Stafford was a 1947 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton, MD. She had worked in various retail stores in Denton throughout the years and was a friend to all. She was a kind, sweet, and terrific mother.
Mrs. Stafford is survived by two daughters: Linda Moore (Bill) of Ridgely and Laura A. Breeding (Richard) of Denton; two sons: P. Reese Stafford, Jr. (Bonita) of Ridgely and David M. Stafford of Laurel, DE; eight grandchildren: Kelly, Erica, Travis, Trevor, Tammy, Kimberly, Megan, and Lindsay; and six great grandchildren: Dylan, Kesley, Morgan, Logan, Owen, and Lauren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Alan Long Stafford and a sister, Margaret (Peggy) Willoughby.
