Herbert W. “Wilbur” Loud, Jr., 83, passed away on the evening of March 18th at the Coves Edge Nursing Home in Damariscotta. Born in Waldoboro on January 28, 1928, he was the son of Herbert Sr. and Estella (Genthner) Loud. Wilbur grew up in New Harbor and attended Bristol schools. For many years he worked at Gilberts Wharf, as well as on various fishing boats.
