Age 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. He was born on July 21, 1927 in Belding, MI the son of Leo and Gertrude (Engerman) Shindorf. Mr. Shindorf was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. He worked in plant protection for Gen Corp. in Ionia for 38 years. He was also a member of the Portland VFW Post #4090. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of 37 years Treva; children Mike (Dee) Geister, Mary (Dick) Allen, Gloria, Andrew (Christy) Geister, James Shindorf, Kathy (Steve) Struble and Brenda (Dennis) Heath; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; Brother Barney (Hilda) Shindorf; 3 sisters Bev (Jack) Hessler, Betty Rutz, and Maggie Shindorf; several nieces and nephews.
