Lofquist, Henry E. “Hank” Age 95, of Wayzata, died peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2014. He was born in Crookston, MN on July 31, 1918. As a member of the U.S. Navy, Henry served in the Pacific during WWII from 1941-1946. Following his military service, Henry worked for the USDA as well as the railroad in Wayzata. Henry belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Wayzata and served on their behalf for over fifty years, also serving as Master during that time. In April, 2013, he was honored to receive the Hiram Award. Henry was a devoted and long standing member of the Scottish Rite. He initiated and was part of the Zuhrah Shrine Bagpipe Band and enjoyed his time with the Zuhrah Horsemen. Henry bought Waytonka Market and worked there until it was sold in 1973 to Five Swans Gift store. He owned and operated Gourmet Kitchen Caterers for five years and Henry also volunteered working with two inner-city schools to further the education of Native American students. Henry will be missed dearly by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Peggy Benicke (Ralph) and Sally Story; sons, Foster Ashton (Crystal) and Marc Ashton (Kreea); nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Henry enjoyed special relationships with his nephew, Todd MacGregor and nieces, Robin MacGregor, Dustin MacGregor- Hannah and Kippen Chermak, and their families.
