Henry Sweitzer, age 26 of St. Paul, MN.

“It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.” – Herman Melville (from Moby Dick)

Henry Lockwood Sweitzer donned his final fascinator and then beautifully expired December 26, 2019.

Painter, makeup artist, philosopher and fiendish Cards Against Humanity player, Henry graced the world with magnificent presence. He brightened every conversation with his wit and caught every eye with his style. He loved art, travel, shopping in New York, shopping online, and shopping. He was not to be ignored and the world is made smaller by his passing.

Henry graduated from the Northfield School of Art and Technology and the Minnesota School of Beauty. He was a buyer and salesperson at Anna’s Closet in Northfield, MN. But mostly, Henry was a scholar of life and its randomness.

Henry leaves behind his mother Lucy Lou, father Brent, sister Annaliese and grandmother Idabelle Sweitzer, and his dog Paris. He will be deeply mourned by Joey Schad, Jessica Hansen, Rosie Sturgis and JoAnne Makela as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends.

Henry is buried at Prairie Oaks Memorial Eco Gardens in Inver Grove Heights.
