Harry F. Schindler, 92, of Hazelwood, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at DePaul Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Schindler was born in Hermann, Missouri on October 1, 1919, the son of the late Ferdinand F. and Minnie (Traub) Schindler.

He was the widower of Verna R. (Anderson) Schindler. They were married Sept. 25, 1954 at Union, MO.

Harry honorably served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God, St. Louis, Missouri.

He worked for Old Vienna Snack Products as a route sales rep for many years and also worked for the Hazelwood school district for 10 years.

Harry is survived by nephews Joy Haeffner & wife Cindy of Hermann, Rodney Anderson & wife Naomi of Des Moines, Iowa, Rick Carey of Tennessee, Gene Sterns of Hutchinson, Kansas and Jimmy Sterns of Independence, Missouri, nieces Edna Mae Pohlmann & husband Melvin of Hermann, Carolyn Schneider & husband Stan of Murphysboro, Illinois, LeeAnn Fries & husband Larry of Hermann, Linda Gay of Tennessee, Judi Sterns of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Faye Niehaus of Tennessee, a brother-in-law Frank Anderson & wife Doris of Paola, Kansas and a special family friend Linda Becker of Troy, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three sisters Ellen Haeffner, Olinda Schowengert and Virginia Niehaus.
