Harry Aloysius Manley, Sr. of Odenton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Harry was born on February 5, 1927 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late William and Helen Manley, and the brother of the late Helen Brown and the late William Manley.
Harry spent 41 years working as the Exec. Director of the Bureau of Rehabilitation, an agency serving the DC area with halfway houses, drug-treatment centers and youth homes. Among his many awards were the Walter Mondale Accreditation Achievement Award, Person-of-the-Year, awarded by the Health & Welfare Council of Wash, DC., and Delinquency and Crime Control Conference’s Man-of-the-Year.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dolores Manley; six children, Harry Manley, Jr (Lisa), Michael Manley (Deborah), William Manley (Michelle), Mary McCarthy (Bobby), Gerard Manley (Valerie), and Theresa Carruthers (Johnny) and 18 grandchildren; Harry III and Christa Manley, Michael and Christopher Manley, Jason, Tiffany, Zachary, Matthew and William Manley, Daniel, Joseph and Theresa Lingebach, Ryan, Taylor, Brittany and Alissa Manley and Kyle and Kevin Carruthers
