Harriett passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at the age of 89. She was born on October 25, 1916 in Orange Township, MI the daughter of George and Hattie (Crane) Baker. Mrs. Brown was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ionia, as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Harriett married Elwin Brown on July 30, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edith Harwood, Irene Udell and Esther Bigger; brothers, Clare Baker and Clyde Baker. Harriett leaves behind many loved ones; her husband Elwin, daughter Deborah and son-in-law Thomas Phillips, granddaughter Allison Phillips, Pat Bessone, Amy Bessone and Tom Houseago, Jon Bessone and Rumi Takeda, special niece Helen Mitchell, and many other nieces and nephews.
