HALWARD “HAL” STONE
Hal Stone, 84, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.
Halward Stone was born on June 28, 1926 in Middle River, MN, the son of Henry C. and Ruth E. (Westlund) Stone. He was raised in the Viking and Thief River Falls, MN area and he graduated from Newfolden High School. He was in the US Navy during WWII and he was stationed in New Guinea, Philippines and Guam. After his discharge, he married Dolores Gulseth on September 12, 1947 in Viking. They made their home in Warren most of their married life. Hal worked in auto body repair in Thief River Falls and Warren. Dolores died on October 1, 1992.
He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Warren American Legion Post #27.
Hal loved wildlife and fishing. He enjoyed watching the Price Is Right and Jeopardy.
