Age 77, died December 14, 2004, at his home. He was born on July 11, 1927 in Pewamo, MI the son of Gustav and Anna (Schafer) Pline. Gus was a member of the St. Mary’s Church in Westphalia, St. Joseph’s Society, a 4th Degree member of the Fr. Godez Assembly, and a member of the St. Jude Thadeus Council of the Knights of Columbus #2890, and a veteran of World War II. In addition to his wife, Laura, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He also loved his special friends who they traveled with, the Vigilantes, and all those who helped him celebrate his life. His Church and his Catholic Faith was very dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by his siblings Vivian Schrauben, Doris Kohagen, Francis Pline, Marion Pline, James Pline and Judy Pohl. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laura; three sons, Danny Pline, Gene (Shell) Pline, Kris (Chris) Pline; six daughters, Dianne (Bruce) Schafer, Connie (Pete) Pung, Pete (John Suckow) Pline, Janet (Doug) Feldpausch, Gina (Mike) Hengesbach, Kelly (Joe) Bengel; 27 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne (Dolores) Pline, Leon (Jo) Pline; sister, Jean (Donald) Walter.
