Gunther Rosebrock of Denton, MD, died Friday, January 6, 2017, at the UM Shore Regional Hospital in Easton, MD. He was 86 years old.
Born in Northern Germany on February 7, 1930, Mr. Rosebrock was the son of the late Heinrich Friedrich Rosebrock and Frieda Greck Rosebrock. His first wife, Ella Rosebrock, died in 1978.
Mr. Rosebrock came to the Eastern Shore in 1954 when he and his first wife were sponsored by the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cordova. He did farm work before becoming a Master Electrician, working for various electrical businesses before retiring in 1991 after thirty years.
Mr. Rosebrock married his second wife, Beverly Rosebrock, on July 5, 1974. He loved the home they shared near Denton and he loved the outdoors.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rosebrock is survived by his son, Herman Rosebrock and his significant other, Robin Essex, of Bridgetown; two daughters: Karen Unruh and her husband Tommy of Henderson, MD and Kay Dean and her husband Kevin of Ruthsburg, MD; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and two surviving brothers and two surviving sisters in Germany. He was preceded in death by a son, Pete Rosebrock and two brothers in Germany.
