Greg Evans, 45 of Meridian, MS, died June 23, 2020 at Rush Foundation Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
He was born December 3. 1974 the son of Gary Evans and Peggy Raines Smith. Greg was a painter by trade but loved working with his hands and would do anything especially for his family and church. Greg was a leader at FAM 180 and was involved in as many ministries as he could be at First Assembly Meridian. Greg loved life, his family, and his church. He loved God and volunteered at church
every chance he had. He was an avid Hot wheels collector and loved everything Superman and
Batman.
Greg was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Gladys Evans; and maternal grandparents, Bobbies Sellers Raines and Jimmy James Raines.
He is survived by his three children, Breanna Evans, Gregory Evans II, and Garrett Evans all of Meridian, MS; his father, Gary Evans; and mother Peggy (Bruce) Smith, both of Meridian, MS; paternal grandparents, Ben and Glenda Evans of Meridian, MS; sister, Crystal Raines, of Meridian, MS; fiancé, Dianna Armstrong of Meridian, MS; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
