Grace Ellen Kurtz of Denton, MD, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Homestead Manor in Denton. She was 95 years old. Born in Milton, PA on March 26, 1921, Ms. Kurtz was the daughter of the late Lawrence Edward Kurtz and Ida Perscilla Kerr Kurtz. She had moved to Denton in 1995. Ms. Kurtz had worked as a 4th and 5th grade teacher for the National Park Board of Education in Pitman, NJ for 25 years. She was a member of the Denton Wesleyan Church and belonged to the Wesleyan Women International Missionary Society. She had taught Sunday School in both Glassboro, NJ and Denton. Ms. Kurtz is survived by a niece and a nephew and many friends in Homestead Manor and the Denton Wesleyan Church. She is preceded in death by one brother, Paul Kurtz.
