Gladys “Sue” Pope 82 passed away peacefully November 28, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Gladys Sue was born March 28, 1935 in Shinnston, WV to the late Charles and Susan Ogden. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Jim Pope. She is the loving Mother of Charles Pope, (Eileen)Pope, David and (Lori) Pope, Phillip Pope and (Hugh Dennis), Julie and (Don) Upchurch. Her five grandchildren Jacob Darcy, Eric and (Sara) Upchurch, Jim Pope, Jessica and (Jason) Nelson, and Mark Pope. One Great granddaughter Amelia Nelson.
Her beautiful smile and big heart drew many to her, she could always be found teaching little ones the love of Jesus and rocking babies on Sundays in the church nursery. Her deep faith and love in Christ drove her to be deeply involved in the Lottie Moon International Missions and organized her church in the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Drive.
