Gladys R. Faes, 92, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away, Thursday, December 16, 2010 at St. Mary’s Health Center, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Mrs. Faes was born in Berger, Missouri on May 3, 1918, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Rose (Parks) Gatzemeyer.
She was the widow of Donald Faes. They were united in marriage on May 11, 1940 at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri, he preceded her in death on March 7, 2001.
She was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri, where she was a member of the ladies sodality and she was a member of the Legion of Mary.
She sold Avon for over 20 years. After that she became the owner & operator of the B & B Style Shop in Hermann for 40 years.
Gladys is survived by her daughter Judith Walkenbach & husband Steve of Jefferson City, a son-in-law Robert Bracht of Hermann, a sister Vera Wehrle of Hermann, a sister-in-law Janette Faes of Hermann, four grandchildren Tammy Eikermann, Craig & Chad Walkenbach and Stephanie Allbritton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Brenda Bracht, a sister Dorothy Horstmann and two grandchildren Joe & Brian Bracht.
