The angels came and called our mother’s name and took her by the hand. Born February 22, 1935 to Tony and Rosella Theis in Pewamo, Michigan passed away peacefully with her children and grandchildren at her side on May 10, 2008 at the age of 73. Her life was filled with the joy of her family, playing cards and the baking of her famous homemade bread. She was preceded in death by her husbands Richard Klein and Harold Smith, her parents and a brother Al Theis. She is the proud mother of Shirley (Jack) Proctor of Lyons, MI., Kevin (Annette) Klein of Council Bluff, Iowa and Bruce (Adela Ray) Klein of Eaton Rapids, MI.; Stepchildren Margaret (Rick) Walczybock of Shelby Township, MI., David (Martha Burgoyne) Smith of Chandler, AZ, Tim (Stacey) Smith of of Hamilton, MI. and Karen (Dan) Karachy of Zeeland, MI.; A combined total of 26 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters Alice (Herm) Klein of Pewamo, Doris (Ray) Stanley of Lansing, Eileen (Ken) Trierweiler of Eagle, and Connie (Dennis) Carr of Charlevoix.
