Gertrude “Gertie” L. Green of Denton, MD, died June 6, 2017, at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was 84 years old.
Born in Baltimore, MD on February 6, 1933, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late Charles Platt Carson and Elizabeth Louise Munk Carson. Her husband, Joseph Green, died in 1967.
Mrs. Green moved to Denton in 1973. She worked in the Edgehill Pharmacy in Denton as a clerk for 33 years until she retired. Mrs. Green is survived by one son, William A. Meise (Viola) of Denton; and three sisters: Shirley M. Peters of York, PA, Patricia D. Hignutt of Denton, and Karin L. Wall of Greensboro. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Catherine L. Shockley and Dorothy L. Carson.
