Geraldine “Geri” Kliner, 89, of Warren, MN, passed away on Friday afternoon, July 29, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.
Geraldine Marjorie Nelson was born on March 19, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Eleanor (Kelly) Nelson. She was raised and attended school in the Crookston, MN area. In 1947, she married her high school sweetheart, Elmer Kliner. They lived on the Kliner farm in Tabor, MN before moving to Warren in 1965. Geri and Elmer worked at the Coast to Coast Hardware Store in Warren for six years before purchasing it and managing it until 1974 after which Geri worked as a classroom paraprofessional at Warren Elementary School until she retired in 1987.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren for over fifty years and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Geri was loved by all her knew her and she will be deeply missed.
Survived her husband of 69 ½ years, Elmer L. Kliner; children, Nancy (Gary) Wagner and Scott (Connie) Kliner; daughter-in-law, Viki Kliner; grandchildren, Kory (Josie) Kliner, Kelly (Kyra) Kliner, Kristofer (Sarah) Kliner, Kari Wagner, Christopher (Teresa) Kliner, Emily (Clint) Shuttlesworth, Carlee Kliner and Jake Kliner and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathleen; son, Robert; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Marilyn and grandson, Chad Kliner.
