Age 90, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010. She was born on April 29, 1920 in Portland the daughter of Louis and Emma (Whitmore) Hoenicke. Mrs. Hoenicke graduated from Portland High School in 1939. She received her teaching certificate from Central Michigan University and went on to teach for 40 years in Warren Public Schools. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Larson; brothers-in-law, Cecil Briggs, Melvin Larson and Kenneth Johnson. She will be greatly missed by her two sisters, Beulah Briggs and Donna Johnson; many nieces, nephews, and one special niece Shereen Lytle.
