Age 87, loving father, grandfather and brother passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was born on June 16, 1921 in Fowler the son of Fred and Veronica (Goerge) Kohagen. Gerald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo and a lifelong area farmer. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII and a member of the Fowler, Pewamo, Westphalia V.F.W. Post #3939. Gerald retired from the Ionia Co. Road Commission and after his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
