Age 81, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2005. He was born on August 10, 1924 in Pewamo, MI the son of Anthony and Anna Cook. Mr. Cook was a member of the United States Air Force, member of the Knights of Columbus Portland Council # 2168, and was an usher at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Portland for years. Gerald drove a tank truck for the Amoco Corporation, retiring after 35 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener, and loved reading and collecting coins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia; sister, Jane Wirth; brother, Joseph Cook; brother-in-laws, Carl Smith, John Stemler and George (Ruth) Cbetnik; granddaughter, Holly Cook. Surviving are his children, Rebecca Cook, Gary Cook, Mike Cook, Bruce (Sheila) Cook, Maria (Steve) Rademacher and Bonnie Cook; grandchildren, Heather (Rick) Harris, Dan, Brandon and Victoria Cook, Steven, Veronica, Marina, Georgia, Michaela and Jeremy Rademacher; many nephews and nieces; sisters, Cecilia Smith, Rosie (Fred) Schmitz and Gladys (Dick) Refsnyder; sister-in-law, Connie Cook; brother, Ben Cook; brother-in-law, Charles Wirth.
