Gerald Rose Sr. was born on December 11, 1933 in Moscow Mills to his parents Charles Edward and Mildred Louise Colbert Rose. He was united in marriage to Leona Joyce Courtois on August 8, 1957 in St. Louis, Mo. Leona Joyce Rose passed away on June 27, 1973.
Gerald Rose Sr. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a machine operator at the Certene Company in St. Louis for many years. He was an active member of the St. James Christian Church when his health permitted. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gerald Rose Sr. is survived by two sons: James Rose of New London, Mo. and Gerald Rose Jr. and wife Lana of St. James, Mo.; two daughters: Joyce Underwood and husband Randy of St. James, Mo.; and Diane Marie Rose of St. James, Mo., one sister Betty Satterfield and husband Sket of St. James along with two grandchildren Allen and Cory Rose of St. James and nieces and nephews.
