Age 89, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born on July 9, 1924 the son of William and Mary Catherine (Smith) Piggott. Gerald was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, member and Past Grand Knight and Financial Secretary of the Knights of Columbus in Westphalia and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Godez Assembly serving as Faithful Navigator. He was the former president and a member of the St. Joseph Society. Gerald retired from G.M. in 1986 and enjoyed farming. He loved watching sports, especially the grandchildren and was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Ann Sherman; infant son, Kenneth; brothers Ronald, Robert and Gordon Piggott; in-laws, Julius and Mary Pohl; brothers-in-law Harold (Agnes) Pohl and Gerald Fedewa; sisters-in-law Opal and Donna Piggott. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Caroline; children Duane (Lorraine) Piggott, Alan (Patricia) Piggott, Roy (Arlene) Piggott, Phillip Piggott, Virginia (Duane) Weber, Judith Piggott, and Stanley Piggott; 24 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Catherine Fedewa; brother, William (Alice) Piggott; sister-in-law, Frieda Piggott.
