Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather left us to be with the Lord after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer on October 4, 2010 at the age of 79. He was born the last son of Herman and Caroline Trierweiler in 1931. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Westphalia in 1949. He went on to join the Army during the Korean War where he was a Master Sergeant with the Fifth Regimental Combat Team. He earned three battle stars in his service to our country. Jerry was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, the Westphalia Band, VFW Post #3733, and the American Legion Post #153. He was the founder and former owner of the Trierweiler Insurance Agency, Inc., until he sold the business to his son in 1996. The insurance business was his hobby and he never really left it. Jerry married his High School sweetheart Jeanette Wieber in 1952, he was blessed with 58 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Donald Trierweiler; brother-in-law Louis Wieber. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette; children, Michael (Brenda) Trierweiler, Wendy (Mark) Thelen, Debra (Michael) Wieber, Terry (Geralyn) Trierweiler, and Thomas (Yvonne) Trierweiler; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Stanley (Dorothy) Trierweiler; sister JoAnn (David) Spitzley; sisters-in-law, Germaine Trierweiler, Eileen Trierweiler, Christine Piggott, Peg Wieber, and Sr. Ann Terrence; brother-in-law Stanley (Linda) Wieber; many nieces and nephews. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be sorely missed by all of us.
