A beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Georgina Jené Pecola Levet Kellum left this world unexpectedly on September 21, 2021. Born in Dexter, Missouri on January 21, 1983 to the late Joseph Kellum Sr and Norma Wofford-Amos. Jené moved to Minneapolis in 1987 with her family but also spent many pivotal moments of her life in Sikeston and Howardville Missouri.

Jené is predeceased by her father, Joseph Kellum Sr. She will be lovingly remembered by mother Norma, stepfather Richard Amos; her beloved siblings Vosinick, Joseph, Foxx, Latoya; brother in laws Eric and Larry; and nephews Curtis, Malachi, Dominick/ niece Lauren. She will be forever remembered by her many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends including her close friends and confidants: Demetrice Walker, cousin Glen (June) Kelly, and Simar Warraich

Jené was a lover of cars, motorcycles, and fashion. Whether she was playing her favorite music riding in the car, playing with her little cousins, nieces/nephews or really any kid in her life, enjoying her passion of cooking, or telling a joke you couldn’t help but laugh at — we all saw her light and loved her for it. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She was funny, outgoing, and vivacious but she was also introverted and introspective. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and she was looked up to by so many. Regardless of age, at some point, we seeked counsel from Jene because of her ability to give an honest and wise answer.

Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. We will wear Jené’s name etched across our hearts, in some way, as a reminder of the love we were lucky to receive from her.
