Age 102, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009. He was on January 4, 1907 in Danby Township the son of John and Libbie (Reeder) Hodson. George was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Portland for nearly 70 years. He was a veteran of the the United States Army serving during WWII in the Philippines and a member of the American Legion in Portland. He enjoyed watching sports. George was preceded in death by his first wife, Lettie Hudson; second wife, Beatrice Hudson; his sister, Muriel Smith. Surviving are his children Norman (Bonnie) Patrick of Tazewell, TN, Gerald (Lorraine) Patrick of Manistee and Doral (Chuck) Schneider of Rockford; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; niece Carolyn (Clare) Cross of Portland.
