Age 80, loving mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010. She was born on June 16, 1929 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Karl J. and Hellen (Foland) Leitz, Sr. Mrs. Reed was a lifelong member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansing and retired from the State of Michigan after several years of service. She loved camping, watching her soaps on tv, and also watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace Leo Reed, Sr.; son, Wallace “Skip” Leo Reed, Jr.; daughters, Connie Lou Harton and Patsy Lee Burhans; grandson, Jason Reed; sister, Mary Stephens. Surviving are her children, Deborah (John) Gilbert of Kalkaska, Wendy (Brad) Anderson of Portland, and John Jay (Vicki) Reed of Lyons; son-in-law, Rodney Burhans of Portland; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Louis Leitz Sr., Karl Leitz Jr., David Leitz, Donald Leitz, and Helen (Leitz) Guernsey; numerous nieces and nephews.
