Geneva I. Block, 93, of Virginia beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt went home to spend eternity with our Lord on June 9, 2015.
Geneva was born February 20, 1922 to Emma and Carl Olson in Williams, MN.
Geneva was married to Donald Block on April 25, 1946 in Williams, MN. They farmed in the Williams area for five years before moving to Virginia, MN.
Geneva’s main vocation was taking care of her family and raising her seven children.
Survivors include her children Candance (Harvey) Hengel of Cape Coral, FL, Courtney Block of Circle Pines, MN, Jill Robinson of Marietta, GA, Robin Block and Tami Block both of St. Paul, MN, Scott C.Block and Kim (Darwin) Rasmusson both of Virginia; grandchildren Sean and Shane Robinson, Tony and Scott T. Block, Zachary and Shinay Rasmusson; step grandchildren, Steven, Sheila, and Susan Hengel, Katina Rasmusson, and Audrea Denstedt: great grandchildren Chandler and Lilyanna Block; sisters in-law Audrey Olson, Loretta Block, and Marge Block and brother in-law Wally DeSautel;as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents, and six siblings Gerome Olson, Violet Larson, Lillian Mason, Borghild Cauchon, Paul Olson, and Ione DeSautel.
