Gary “Buck” Lee Turnbough, 55, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Steelville, MO passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at his home. He was born July 9, 1952 to Kenneth and Helen (Kaysinger) Turnbough. On November 10, 1979, he was united in marriage to Sue (Taylor) Turnbough who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, Sue, of twenty-eight years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Helen Turnbough of Steelville, MO; two brothers, Mike Turnbough and wife Maria of Dellwood, MO and Bruce Turnbough and wife Cinda Kay of Pacific, MO; mother-in-law, Wanda Taylor of Florissant, MO; brother-in-law, Joe Taylor and wife Karen of Florissant, MO; one sister-in-law, Kathy Turney and husband Thomas of Florissant, MO; two aunts, Rosie Cole and Geneva Scott both of Viburnum, MO; one uncle, Jim Turnbough and wife Opal of Fenton, MO; special nieces and nephews, Kendall Turnbough, Jamie Kay Turnbough, Micah Turnbough, Laura Turnbough, Brett Turnbough, Michaela Turnbough, Taylor Mills, Heather Robben and Brian Taylor; great nieces, cousins and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Turnbough, father in-law, Joe Taylor and nephew, Kelly Lee Turnbough.

Gary was retired from Lucent Technology in St. Louis after eighteen years of service. After retirement he helped with the AT & T Pioneers in their fundraisers and The Special Olympics.

At a young age, Gary was saved and baptized at Center Point Baptist Church in Steelville. Growing up in Steelville, he was involved in athletics and enjoyed playing basketball and baseball in high school. When he was young, he started singing bass with his father in the Journeymen Quartet and continued throughout his life singing and playing gospel music. In his past-time, Gary loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Most of all he loved being around his nieces, nephews and great nieces and enjoying his family.
