Gary K. Sneed, 62, of Cherryville, MO passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his home. He was born June 23, 1948 in Waynesville, MO to Chester E. and Hazel Laverne (Barr) Sneed. On November 24, 1989 in Springfield, MO, he was united in marriage to Patricia Anne Setzer.
He had attended the Center Ridge Pentecostal Church and was saved during that time. He and Pat had been attending the Canaan Community Church at Cook Station the last few years.
Gary always enjoyed playing in bowling leagues and pool tournaments when his health permitted. He enjoyed roller skating and driving his red Dodge pickup. But most of all he loved his family, his siblings and being a father.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Pat of Cherryville, MO; his father, Chester Sneed of Springfield, MO; one son, Gary Lee Sneed of Springfield, MO; two daughters, Angela Krick and husband Tim of Springfield, MO and Amanda Sneed of Cherryville, MO; two step-daughters, Sheila Rowland and husband Tony of St. Louis, MO and Sherry Douglas and husband Matthew of Cook Station, MO; one special person to Gary & Pat, Lisa Setzer and husband Johnny of Viburnum, MO; one brother, Bob Crawford and wife Jan of Creston, IA; three sisters, Mary Staples and husband Gene of Gun Barrell, TX and Sharon Dugger and husband Jack and Judy Tindall and husband Tony all of Springfield, MO; three sister-in-laws, Darlene Setzer of Steelville, MO Leatha Setzer of Cherryville, MO and Verna Setzer of Hermann, MO; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Sneed; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nina and Howard Newton Setzer; two brothers-in-law, Everett Setzer and Howard Lee Setzer Sr.; and two sisters-in-law, Elnora LaRonge and Evelyn Setzer.
